Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
Try to think of possibilities instead of the negatives. You said you're in FL alone. Well, now that there's nothing holding you there, think about where you want to be.The future is a blank slate, anything is possible! That's pretty amazing if you think about it. So many of us feel trapped and frozen, but you have the chance to make your future yours.
I understand your fear of being alone. I too am in my late 30's. Only I've never been married and have no children. I often feel as though I've wasted my best years, my years of having a family, with the wrong men. But, we can't think like that! Thoughts like that will only hold us back. We have to hold onto the positive possibilities of tomorrow, because as cliche as it is, when one door closes another one to something better opens.
Try joining a local group of some sort. For me it's the gym and the local art studio. Being around people helps to not feel isolated. Hang in there … you're not going to be alone for life and the future will be bright again. This is just a bump in the road.
