Long Distance

Me and my ex have had a long distance relationship for the past two years. The past two months have been very rocky. I have caught him in several petty lies. It seems like every week we say we're done then he calls me a week later and says he loves me and can't imagine himself with anyone else. This happened twice, and now we haven't talked for two weeks. Even though he has lied about petty things I will alway still love him. I keep holding out hope that this time he will come running back in a few weeks too. It's so hard to have a long distance relationship and just have someone ignore you, because you have no where to turn.

I'm sorry for your situation. The whole "hot and cold" treatment has got to be the worst.

Thank you for the support! No one understands how hard it is to have a fight in a long distance relationship...there's nothing you can do.

Oh wow...hugs to you....

I just experienced this a few weeks ago and it was very, very painful...no matter how many miles are between you. A few hours, or the other side of the planet, like mine.

Hope it all works out for you..I know how tough this is...

I was in a LTR and I agree that when argument ensues, that it leaves you helpless and I also questioned myself as to why you put up with it when they can easily hang up on you and not answer your calls as if you don't matter. Click and hang up. But, if you do the same, God forbid!

I think that part of me for being in a LTR, may be an escapism from having a functional relationship that requires more of my time and effort. IDK. After 2 years, I'm realizing that it's time for us to make a move to close the distance or move on from the sound of a phone dial tone. It's scary.

I' understand how you feel.. holding on to hope. My LDR are now apart. We are 500 miles apart, 2 years together He hasn't had a job since I've known him and always there for him. ALways accepting him in any way.. job or no job.. angry or not..
And now he got a job, and now all of a sudden he wants time apart. he started being cold to me, and I knew something was wrong. he admitted to meeting a women at a job fair. go figure.. but he says he still loves me but is confused now.
I feel so betrayed. I was ALWAYS there for him.. ups and downs, and now i feel like I was just someone to get him through his divorce and company until he got a job, I gave everything of myself. I love him, and I am missing him so much.
Yes LDR's are so hard, but if you love that person, nothing, and I mean nothing should come between the two of you. Hope? that is all I have now. I wish you luck..
