Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
All I can say is that it took nearly 2 years for my divorce to be final...and we lived in same home til final. WAS A NITEMARE!!!
In hind sight...wish we had figured another way to do it.
I wish you well! And sorry for your situation.
But it only worked because its like we where living alone anyway.
Other than that I cannot recall a story from here of people being able to live together in a healthy sane way. It might start of ok, but it always seems to degrade to fighting and added stress in very little time.
Best of luck with whatever happens
Rman: Always good to meet a fellow musician..lol
I dont really think it can happen, unfortunatly. After reading some thoughts here and having my own..im 99% sure it would not be healthy for me.
Currently suffering from Depression/Anxiety and a Panic disorder as it is...adding more stress is a no no.
Thank you everyone!!
I mean.. would you be ok with this guy coming to pick up your wife for a date or whatever?
Why doesn't she just move out?
I lived with my ex for 6 months after I found out about his affair...it was pure hell. Everytime I walked through that door I was reminded of what happened and what was going on. Knowing he'd have her there while I was gone.
Moving out was the best thing I could have done for myself and my daughters. Much more peaceful and no axiety pulling into the driveway.
Take care!
If you are amicable and calm people, you might have a chance of doing it for some time. Expect problems, stress and anxiety levels to increase, if you try it.
In your case you have an increased level of complexity due to custody negotiations. My attorney says that three things make divorce complex: 1. business ownership, 2. custody and 3. factually intense cases (lots of financial accounts and transactions).
Benefit: It definitely can save money to share costs and avoid attorneys.

I can't tell you what to do but I can say for me, there is no way in hell I could have lived with my ex. But everyone's situation is different. I would imagine though, given your current anxiety and depression level, it might not be the best situation for you.
Take care and God bless.
