Okay, maybe those weren't cryptic messages, and I just choose to read into everything my ex says. Anyway, anyone has some messages of your ex that keep you holding on instead of moving on?

Sounds like he wants you as an option instead of a priority. He doesn't want you but doesn't want you to move on either for fear that he may need you one day in case he can't find anyone else. I went through this nonsense for 12 yrs. He's your ex but telling you not to go do other men? Don't be his fallback girl! You are so much BETTER than that!!!

I had messages that were throwing me off but it all stopped when I stuck with NO CONTACT. It truly saved me.

Oh no no no. I should probably start all my threads on here with a background. I was actually the sleaze ball, Fiteach8. But the limbo phase still hurts. I think in my case, he was genuinely confused as he does still love me. But limbo isn't healthy for anyone.

Oh okay well yeah I guess it depends on who ended the relationship. I was about to say..if he ended it and sent those to you after the fact then yeah that's just a mind game. But limbo messages can happen during or after a relationship. It's tough...why can't people just be honest with their feelings?
