Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
try not to sweat this phase. it is important to take your time as you put in the foundation stones to build your new life on. be smart and trust your own instincts. they will show you what is best for you. :)
until i meet her, i just do other stuff. there's no hurry.
When it is your time....it is just not right now.
(hugs)
I've been filling my time with exercise, so I found a couple of local running clubs from trolling the internet, and meetup.com. I've also found a couple of social groups on meetup.com where I've found a couple of guys I seem to relate to. And if I ever get a free night where I want to watch a baseball game or something, I'll head over to the local pub. (Since I cancelled my cable, so I force myself to go out if I really want to catch a game.) Meetup also has a couple of single parent groups, and I'm now known to show up at church every other Sunday (who would have thought?)
That's my plan for now. These aren't surefire ways, in fact, sometimes these events are flops, but at least I'm out of the house and trying to enjoy myself...One step at a time, right? I heard somewhere that someone has to be ejoying life before they can really share it with someone else, so that's what I"m trying to to do.
This does not compute.
(This expression gives away my age. Ann Landers used to like to say "time wounds all heals." And she was right!)
