People don't generally like to talk about things that make them feel bad. Things they have done wrong generally fall into this category. I can't imagine anyone cheating, and then wanting to talk about it to the person they cheated on.
I could tell you "I'll love you forever and never forget you" and then when we break up you can bet I don't love you forever, and I'll do my best to forget you.
You need to take what people say in the heat of the romantic love affair with a grain of salt.
He's broken up with you. It's over. Find someone else. Honestly it's not worth thrashing some dead horse like this. Time will give you a better point of view, but thing is you're young, you've just one one boyfriend, now go out and have a few more, and that will help put this one into perspective.
Each bloke you date gives you a new understanding of blokes in general. They're not all the same, each one is new and has something else to teach. :)
