Just be yourself Heave, don't over try to much. A women loves a man that is confident in himself. That doesn't take himself too seriously.
If you see an attractive women and you like her, smile. Smiling is huge and it says alot. Make eye contact, if it's there then go and approach her and say hello. Trust me most women are nervous and shy too and don't know how to approach this sort of thing. I truly am a big believer you find someone when you least expect it. Give us eye contact. Give us more attention than other women in the room. Don't have conversaations about any kind of sex. I had an odd conversation about "use of honey" I'd like to forget about. We're around. Don't date women in the work place. I really don't know where we are. I go to work, to the grocery store and come home. If an opportunity comes, think about it.

try the laundry mat or the library . We are as nervous as you. Be yourself ,no phony acts. No lying like you are the next astronaut to go tspace. I dont do the bare scene either so these are some of the places i go . You also try the grocery store.

I'm way older than you so my advice might be so outdated. If you are in town during the day and start up a conversation with someone ask her if she would like to go for a cup of coffee or a drink.

Don't talk about your divorce! Ask about her. What does she like and that kind of thing. If she likes music as her if she would like to go to an outdoor concert. You can pack a nice picnic basket with a bottle of wine or take her out on your boat.

I have discovered the Walk Dog in Park. I have met many guys. Some young, LOL, Some grandpa types, my types, not-my-types. Point is, I am discovering the happiness of just talking to people in general. Making little kids smile and laugh at my puppy, wanting to pet her. Making others smile.
