I know you didn't ask for replies, necessarily, but I wanted to say I share the sentiment. When I first was on here, under a different username, way back in 2009, I couldn't believe my luck. DS made a huge impact on my life when I went through my separation and subsequent divorce.

Hi, like you I find support and encouragement here also. For the first year after my separation, I had my children full time. I was angry, bitter, and on the go non stop between work, school, visits to my lawyer's office, etc. I did not have time to grieve. But, once my divorce was final and my children were out of the house the first week, reality hit me in the face. That was about 6 months ago, and I have been in grief mode ever since. I fight hard every day just to go to work and sometimes succumbing to the depression and just laying on the bed in prayer and trying to make sense of all that is occurring in my life. I am blessed to have found a community as DS which provides support, encouragement, and advice to those walking through the darkest times. I have been humbled by this experience. I pray for every person that is hurting, suffering, and struggling. I know what it is like as I am in your shoes. I pray for peace, love, and joy to fill your hearts. It is tough. But, Hope is the fuel that keeps me going. My you be filled with hope, my friends.

I'm knee deep in grieving too. When my Mom died, it hit me hardest at 6 and 7 mo. I'm right at that mark for having no contact with my long term relationship, (we were not married) that lasted 11 years. Although we were broke up, he still continued to talk to me. I could not move on with my grieving until I made that stop. It was keeping me stuck. Now it is real, and the grieving is sad. Remembering the good, while keeping a balance of why it was right for it to end. This gives me a place to talk it through, while friends and family don't understand why I would be sad . This is a place to deal with so I don't over burden my friends and family with my stuff. They knew him and quit frankly don't understand why I would be sad. But there is always good with the bad, the loss of plans, the loss of time invested, and now that the plans are lost, this time of figuring out what comes next.

I feel for you with your children. When divorced 14 years ago from my 2 (now grown) children, it was so hard. I was so worried about what they were thinking, and how scared they were. There was some behavior problems that came from it. Not easy. My thoughts are with you.

TTMI you are an veteran in this group. It's always good to hear from someone who has been through it, and knows there is light at the end of the tunnel, thank you for all your insight and encouragement.
