1. "What happens when we reach adulthood and we realize that most of what we learned about values, moral, compassion and open heart emotions only applies to others and not to ourselves?"
A. That statement is not true. Everyone is created equal with inalienable rights. Each of us has a right to personal happiness and fulfillment. It is our responsibility to limit our exposure to people who do not treat others well.
2. "How do you react when you are hit with betrayal, when give love and you get hate?"
A. Hate is a statement toward another to reject them. So, you reject them to thrive among others like themselves.
3. "When you work so hard at your job and the promotion or awards are given to the ones who least deserve them?"
A. Each employer constructs its own version of good business ethics and healthy environment. If we cannot flourish within their system, we should leave and choose an employer where we can flourish within their system or create our own system through freelance work or self-employment.

I forget what verse that is.
Why attach yourself to any of it?
Giving love and getting hate back? Move on.
Passed over for promotion? Get a new job.
Kids have it correct. They don't have a filter. They just say immediately what is on their mind, immediately feel any emotion they have, and are over it. I think we need to UNLEARN all the human conditioning, and be more like kids.
Yes, some of us are brought up to understand healthy boundaries, respect to authority, but that does not necessarily mean that those values are introjected by individuals who learn them.
I've come to the realization that most of what I've learned about values, morality, and compassion applies to some, but not others, however those values continue to apply to me and those outside of me.
I consider myself pretty successful at what I do for a living and best reward given to me is knowing that I've developed myself to my potential.
Those individuals who are given promotions and awards and least deserve them are individuals who are politically connected.
