My married name is easier and i like it. I am
known in this area where i live by that name.

Post divorce, I said I would keep my married name, as I've had this last name longer than my maiden name. Plus, it is confusing to younger kids when mom suddenly has a different last name (my kids are older, but I didn't want to do anything more that might cause them upset). My maiden name was mispronounced about half of the time, that was always a pain.
I think changing your name post divorce means more paperwork and probably another fee, but really not that big of a deal.
But it does make me mad when I think about it so I may change my mind in the future
Several years later, I briefly dated a woman who kept her married name, she said it was more work than it was worth to change it back, and she said it made it easier when signing her kids up for school and such.
