Just when my boat started to find it's balance...
So i should have known something was in the ocean I have been sailing my boat in, it was too calm. Things were going so well, filed final papers, waiting on hearing/final decree, limited communication/contact with ex, finances were getting under control, job prospects on the immediate horizon, hanging out new friends, finding a life on my own and FINALLY feeling comfortable in new life. Murphy's Law occured today, just when things are going good, the boat tips over. I received an email from ex, this is the preferred method of communication. Easier to think before responding or don't respond at all, saves so MANY headaches. We had actually been having really good communication and I have been less stressed with his craziness. My bad....the email was short and sweet...""WTF" did you have your guy do that on purpose? You are sick." This happened just as I was going to sleep, which I did until right before my alarm went off (and you lay there thinking...crap...I could have still been sleeping). So after heading out I quick emailed him asking what was going on, at which point I put phone away and went about enjoying the nice morning walk with a girlfriend. Of course we both talked about how similar our divorces were, which is such a relief to know NONE of us is alone in this ocean. When I finally got back to the phone, email about how there was a phone call and the "guy" on the other end described "being" with me in intimate details and Yadda, Yadda, yadda. Hopefully you get the rest...my mind is thinking what??? I have decided until I am healed completely, no relationships with any guys...oh yeah...expect the 1 (I have already confessed this sin and have decided it is a safe situation because I have no expectations of a future with this person...some might call it a "rebound" guy...I'm ok with that) So now my brain is trying to wrap my head around this 1 person who I see every few weeks or so, would do you like call my ex. I quickly dismissed that because he and I don't have each other's phone number. Then it dawns on me...my ex's crazy stalker ex-girlfriend. The one who started all this crap with him dating her while I sit home and take care of the kids and house. My boat is not tipping back and forth as the ocean gets rougher. Communication breaks down because, what I have come to realize our entire 19 year marriage, is he does not believe anything I say or trust anything I do. And that's it, the straw that breaks the camel's back. I get him to give me the callers name and am flabbergasted as I have no F****** idea who this person is. Crazy, stalker, ex-girlfriend of his had stolen intimate photos of me (he did not believe in putting a passcode on a phone, his thinking "it's too annoying", so psycho ex-girlfriend went snooping through phone and stolen things off of it). Now it's my fault for having those types of pictures obtainable, another sin I have atoned for (won't ever happen again and que sera sera). After realizing I have nobody in my life with that name, I am trying to convince him of my innocence. I only did that twice before I realized, he will never believe me because he still thinks I am "finding myself" and when I do I will come back to his crazy sh**. It made me laugh because he just does not get the fact I don't like him and don't really want to be friends with him. I know he misses that as he tells me all the time.
So here I am holding on the the boat rails as the boat is going back and forth on the open seas, at first I was seasick; but now I'm not because I know where my boat is heading. It's heading toward the horizon, free to change direction and never looking back.
