Just trying to get through each day

Hi All.  Well, I can say I'm pretty depressed.  Yes, I cut the ex out..well I blocked her on everything.  The last straw was that she wanted me to date one of her good friends.  This was 2 days after she was sad that we weren't together (She blamed the world) That is just messed up. We were engaged and all in the past.


The issue I'm having, besides being 48, is feeling alone and nothing to offer. I can see she was a narcissit now. But it doesn't change the relationship that I thought I had. I still miss it.  Plus, I offered everything and felt the best I could be.  So it's just painful hearing her words - not persistent enough, seeing someone else, not caring if I date etc.  It shouldn't bother me but it does.


I'm a natural introvert.  The online dating sites aren't helping. I used to be ok alone but as I got older...I guess it bothers me. 


So just venting and trying to get through each day. And no, never planning to talk to ex again or see her.  She is someone else's issue now.  As I was told - she has to go get a new supply from somewhere.


I just want to feel happy and whole somehow again.  Ugh

You got this! There is someone out there for you that will be the person you need in your life. Do not worry about your age...that is just a number. You want to be with someone who wants you and no one else and you deserve that!

Please don't feel alone. I am sure you have so much to offer the RIGHT PERSON. Your ex was not the right person. Your ex doesn't get to define who you are….I know its hard but the best revenge is living your best life. Take one day at a time and be determined to live your best life. Make decisions based on what is best for you!! You got this!!

Come every day and vent if need be- it really helps and DS is great once you chime into a comfy group. You are not alone. Many are feeling the exact emotions you are feeling right at this moment. You have to dig in deep into your soul and pullout that " I've Got this attitude as "themiddle" stated above. Remember .... it is okay to fee the emotion just dont become the emotion or become victimized by it. Remember.........emotions are energy on a frequency. Take it and switch it to a higher frequency and treat yourself lovingly-etc go for a brisk walk, treat yourself to a dinner - As far as you being an introvert- take a risk ask a friend or a family member to dinner-Spend quality time with yourself,Dive into something you may have always wanted to do headfirst- the key is to pour Joy and serenity and Peace into yourself. Always remember that in life what another being gives you- you can give yourself. Showers of abundant Light to you.
