Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
As hard as it is, I would say to try to drag yourself out ... whether it is just for a long walk to think... or to be around other people ....not saying to be dating or socializing, just to get a change of scenery and maybe a chance to feel less bogged down about everything.. (I am all too familiar with withdrawing and trying to cope myself. It has just taken me twice as long to again pull myself out of another funk.) It actually helps to reach out to others. Just know you can do that here if and when you need to .
Your 9 year old....if (s)he knows daddy is having a hard time missing your SO (or mommy?) They will probably understand and may well be missing her too. Just to spend some time with them , you may find the two of you would feel a little better. (KIds can have a way of helping us as much as we help them. Kind of put our priorities in a better order.)
Hang in there and give yourself time. My thoughts, prayers are with you.
Hugs too.
I think Veggiequeen said it all.
Allow yourself some time to heal. Then get up and go outside for or a short walk or some activity with your 9 year old.
I promise you will be OK.
Hugs
