Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
The best advice I can think of now is to remember that from this point forward, you can treat the divorce as a business transaction. You don't cry at work when things get difficult (maybe in the bathroom stall), so don't cry in your lawyer's presence, if you can help it. And by cry I mean breaking down sobbing, being incoherant, not being able to think. That's saved for the car ride home! The blaming, guilting, the he said/she said, betrayals - all of that doesn't matter one bit anymore. The judge will not care, your lawyer might not even care about who wronged who or who treated who unfairly. It's all about what's legally just, so do your best to help your lawyer help you. Good luck and I hope for you a speedy outcome.
The kids will be fine as long as you keep your head up and continue to love them.
And you didn't fail them, this is life and they will respect you more as adults for being strong enough to move forward through such a tough time.
You are okay ;)
