Julia sustained a broken nose, a fractured cheek bone, wrist and arm. She has a black eye and stitches in her lip. She was not sexually assaulted and the Police said who ever did this evidently knew she lived alone and were looking for stuff to steal and hock for drugs. I will keep you posted on any updates. Please keep Julia in your thoughts and prayers.

Drugs make people do crazy things. Sometimes I wonder why they are On this earth.
I was reading about something called Pellegra. It's a vitamin B1 deficiency, that was endemic in this country a hundred years ago. Beer has vitamin B1. So I guess small amounts used to help people survive. But the damage done now from alcoholism is incredible.
On a side note, about the only things worth stealing in my house are my old wedding set. And then I'd get to collect insurance. Sigh. I'd have willingly handed it over to them.
