Its Harder Than I Thought

Hello everyone. Im Netta and im new to this group. I am newly divorced but this is my second divorce. I got over the first onw fairly quickly because I rebounded right into another relationship and I married that man 6 months after my first divorce was final!


So here I am again on divorce number 2, but I really dont want to makr the same mistakes that I did after divorce number 1! I want to give myself time to heal from actually both of those divorces!


However this is harder than I thought it would be! Its taking every ounce of strength that I have NOT to pick up the phone and call either of my exes or text them too! I want to do this right this time and NOT run into the arms of someone else!


Im so fresh out of my number 2 divorce! I divorced them both dor good reasons but im so use to having a man that NOW I dont know what to do with myself and all this loneliness and boredom.


I do start Medical School in November and that should keep me good and busy but right now its just me looking at these four walls, feeling like im going crazy in this house.


I have my three teenage children here with me but their well off into their own world! No comfort at all. Lol!


I take walks, read my bible and write and occasionally watch tv but im still so lonely!


Can any of you tell me how did you cope with your breakup or divorce? Again, I don't want to go back to picking up where I left off and I really need time to figure out who I really am in life.

Congrats on med school! That's super exciting and will most def keep you super busy. What you're experiencing is pretty normal. We get used to being in a relationship that if we're not we don't know what to do wi6th ourselves. I've been there and am there now as well. I do some of what you're doing and I also make time to spend with girlfriends, family, etc and I also attend a couple of bible studies and I've been able to spend time on just taking care of me. This is my time to let myself heal and strengthen myself and keep walking forward. Even though your kids are teens and have their own lives, try and get really active in their activities, etc and carve out big blocks of time with them while you still can and they are at home. My prayer is you'll find your own way and start to be comfortable in your own skin again. Hugs and prayers from Texas ; )

Wow! Thank You. Im so happy you replied back. I was beginning to think no one cared. I so appreciate your encouraging words. They were ever so uplifting to me and sounded like you really do care about what im going through. Thats great! Honestly I have NO friends at all. I had one best girl friend and we were friends since the seventh grade but she died from MS about three years ago. I haven't connected with anyonelse since. Im a loner and always have been except for the opposite relationships with men in the past.
Well since I wrote that first post, im doing a whole lot better. I have had time to reflect on myself and now I am getting morw involved in my three teenagers lives. They like to come home from school and tell me about their day. Im also helping my 17 year old daughter looking into Colleges because shes a Senoir now. And im more involved with the other two as well.
Its getting easier weening off of my exes now. Im just feeling like I cant be botherwd with them and their mess anymore.
Yes I am Super lonely but I also have a sense of inner peace like I never had before. Just so much has changed within a few days.
I would love to continue conversating with you. Right about now, I really need a friend.
