Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
These are classic signs of depression, and depression is a very normal stage of a breakup. I, too, have gone through these feelings, and am getting the help of my doctor and a prescription antidepressant. Many people prefer not to use medication, in which case, I would highly recommend finding someone you can talk to. If you don't have access to a therapist, maybe a clergyman/priest, a mentor, or just a friend. There are organizations out there who can refer to you low-cost or free counseling services. While time is the real healer, talking out your feelings can move the process along and help you find ways of wanting to get out of that bed and dealing with those thoughts of death. Prayer is a very good start. Even for those who are not religious, prayer is a form of meditation, and meditation can help with depression.
Best wishes to you.
