Yes, and they play over and over repeatedly all day here as well. You're not overly sensitive, just over it in general like the rest of us are.

THANK YOU! It is the curse of the betrayed. Everything that we just used to gloss over becomes blindingly clear to the betrayed. I am ashamed that I didn't even blink an eye before, hearing it, seeing it, now bam it is right there in plain sight. I imagine everyone cheating in all the happy commercials, look at that pretty mom picking up her kids in her new car, I bet she just finished a quickie with her husbands best friend! I cant watch anything except the cooking channel or the news. I only listen to Christian music now because it takes my mind off the disgusting reality of my adulterous wife. OK that was a little rant, but I feel better!

As a devout atheist I'm very aware of how alone I am. Perhaps I'm stronger than most, I don't even have an imaginary friend to turn to. It's just me, my thoughts and the knowledge that this universe (and our pain and life) are temporary. We are all made of stars. Solar systems come and go and from the painfull deaths of them come new life, new creations. The best thing we have going for us is the mystery that lies before us. Anything is possible, even good things. Gotta hold on with the rest of you.

No, but then again I listen to Christian radio. I think it's more like you notice it more because that is where you are at. It's like walking through a mall that you have been in a bazillion times but this time you notice all the baby buggies because you just found out you are pregnant. It isn't because there are more it just because now you are looking at that stuff more closely.

While music is not as random as strolling through a mall because it does seem that certain songs get played more on a whole and based on popularity of what sells you may have an increase in a particulate style or genera, I still think it is based on what personally speaks to you that you are noticing it more. In the past maybe you changed the Chanel or tuned out, turned down when those songs came on as they didn't speak to you.

Try changing the style of music/station and see if you still think there is more of that kind of lyric playing then in the past?

Stream some dark 80s music/edm. Like Bauhaus, Sisters of Mercy, Type O Negative, or Love and Rockets. They sing more about the pain of love. It's very therapeutic for me. Not so sappy like the current pop music is. Whatever you do, don't listen to the radio. It's full of s*** these days and all sappy love songs that will pull your heart right out.

I've been doing Bob Marley, sublime, and 311. Initially I was doing eminem and linkin park, both hybrid theory and meteora are about the rage of lost love but I've switched to chiller stuff. I'm cranked enough as I am. Gotta keep things chill, focus on calm and peace.

OMG you are so right, it is bonkers how many songs are played about cheating or broken up . I say to myself I don't want to be reminded what stbx could be doing and I change the station ( haha) most of the time I listen to my christian stations or what I down loaded on my phone . Its like when the radio stations play Christmas music too soon which makes some people stressed. Yeah I know just what you mean.

Yes..it would seem some if the most beautiful music has been inspired by the deepest heartbreak..
