And I am not happy that I have that at all, but now and then it rears its ugly head. No matter how angry and hurt I have been I have largely tried to be civil and take the high road. I have not always succeeded but I do try, for my own conscience.
Here is my latest failure and I guess I should get off my own back over it.
When he left he took our queen sized bed out of the master bedroom, and I am in the guest bed now. He loaned me his air mattress so there would be somewhere for me to sleep if I had a friend or one of my kids here overnight. It is on the floor in our old bedroom, which I have all but abandoned.
My 16 year old dog sometimes can't make it through the day or night without having an accident, and guess where he has been going...yep, all over that air mattress, which is gross. I threw an old blanket over it to protect it and do the best I can to keep it clean. He wants it back next month to go camping at a music festival. And I gotta say I don't care what the dog does on it now.
I am sure that is bad karma or something and it is mean but so be it.

My stbx threw my good suits outside and didn't tell me for weeks. My therapists said it was better than being physical. She was wrong (LOL), that's another story.

It felt right. I would have done it outside but I don't want the neighbors seeing how undone I can be at times.
I have one friend whose 25 year marriage was so abusive I don't know how she survived it. She went to Goodwill and bought cheap pretty pottery and found a vacant parking lot and smashed the heck out of it. And went home and turned the pieces into mosaics.
A good friend of hers was in a similar situation. This woman owned One dress. Her husband insisted she put it on one night, and drew a shotgun over it. She put the dress on and then called the cops and moved out. Went to her new place and lit that dress on fire in the yard.
I probably sound like trash here. But these are highly educated professional women with fine children and great careers. I am proud to call them my friends.
Sometimes you just gotta do what it takes to get by.
Taking the high road is hard damn work.
The stbx had the affair, the stbx is scheming at custody and clenching the $,,,,, and if I ""fight" for what is fair , then amongst the gossipers, I'm not taking the high road
i need to think of something else i could do.. i read online about a woman who soaked condoms in jalepeno juice and then packed them in her H's things when she kicked him out, so that he and his OW would have a nice warm feeling when using them. did i read that here, i don't remember? anyway, not a bad idea, but he already has his stuff. oh well.
