Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
How are you doing now? I know it can be so hard when we do not feel valued and appreciated, but Jenny, you are a precious person of great value and worth. You have gifts and talents, and they have been given to you for a reason, for you to use to bless others. Your worth is not dependent upon what another person thinks or does not think. Focus on finding what is unique about you. I recommend getting the book The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren. It can give new direction and new strength beyond what your partner does or does not do. I also really hope you make an appointment with a doctor for an evaluation. I remember when I just felt like I was in an absolute black hole with no energy. I was having panic attacks and bursting into tears at the drop of a hat. I was embarrassed to go to the doctor, but within two weeks of getting on an antidepressant it was like an entire new world opened up for me. If you try one medication and it does not help, do not give up. It may take a few tries to get the right combination for your chemistry. There is hope, there is help, and you have incredible value whether you realize it or your partner does.
