Hi my name is Vi!

I still can't believe he did this to us. We've been together 3 years, lived togeter 2 we were supposed to get married, have kids, grow old together and now it's just over. We had some financial trouble so we decided to move back to our home country, he moved back with his family got a job and I was supposed to take care of things here and he would be back for me when he got setteled and we have a place, we done the long distance thing, it was hard but was supposed to be temporary, while home he visited my mom, took care of her, picked my brother up from the airport all on his own, then all of a sudden he started to get distant, barely sending a text here and there he used to be really affectionate telling me he loves me all the time, he didn't say it in the last few weeks, so I confronted him what's going on and he just kept saying that he has plans and he'll achive them no matter what, he's a workaholic always have been, but in the past he always made time for me for us, but this time it sounded like there's no place for me in those plans so I asked if I was in them, he just kept repeating himself, not giving a straight answer, so I asked if he wanted to break up, he got upset, saying he never said that, and sure not with so many words, but his actions done it for him, I mean when a person plans a whole life without you and didn't even mention it to you I think that says it all... he ended our relationship the same day without any explanation. And now I'm stuck in a house full of our memories, he's everywhere and it's killing me. I just don't get it, how do you stop loving someone all of a sudden, and even if you do shouldn't you at least care about them to explain why? I'm so lost without him, I planed my whole life with him, how do I go on without him, what's the point going on? I'm 40 it took me 37 years to find him I don't have that kind of time on my hand anymore. Anyway my question is did I read the situation right, would we be still together if I just gave him time to sort out whatever he's going trough or if I just went with him in the first place or would it have just postponed  the inevitable?
