Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
Hopefully you can re-connect with your family to get the support you need. Burnt bridges can be re-built with contrite recognition of our mistakes and an earnest attempt not to repeat them. ie. if you are truly finished with marital relationship with your wife, make sure it stays finished.
If your relationship with your in-laws is tenuous at best, I would try to find alternative care for your child. And perhaps start looking for a "decent" job closer to family from whom you can get support.
My solution was to sell my house and move closer to family. I am happy to say that my son is doing very well in his new school. The added support and childcare assistance from my family has been invaluable. This is not a success story by any means, it’s still very difficult, but it’s better than it was. The chaos and craziness that surrounds my alcoholic Ex continues to do so. I minimize contact with her and focus on my son.
Change can be good and you should consider it.
