I am preparing my documents to change my residence permit status. It is a bit tough for me as this hammers reality so much. I am not a married person anymore (although it is not yet final). This is just the start. I still need to change so many things ( my last name, passport, my tax status, pension..etc). My divorce will likely be finalized in two months. I find it hard to forgive my husband for what he is causing me. I cannot concentrate with my studies.
I've kept my married name, and won't think about changing it until I move back to my home country--things will be much simpler then. (And even then I might not--it's a reminder to me that pink flags can be red flags in hiding...)
