Fell in love with someone who doesn't love forever
He only smiled and said "Dude you need to understand something. NOTHING is forever. Your love for her and her love for you is not forever because we are always everchanging (He is Buddhist btw). She will change each day and so will you. The key to love is not to believe that love lasts forever. The key is to know that love is in need of constant renewal. When she changes over the years you will have to fall in love with a whole new person, and when you change as well she will need to fall in love with a whole new person.
I didn't understand that at 26 years old when I got married but today at 37 I get it. I wish I would have back then. But you don't fall in love forever. You need to work at it EVERY DAY. Make the person you are with fall in love with you again and again and continue to work at it every day for the rest of your life.
