It happened. In the midst of moving forward in my marriage separation, I had a weak moment and called. Bad idea. I found a crying, confused and lost voice on the other end. In an instance my instinct was to comfort her and fix this. The call led to another call later that day and feelings were in check,no crying, just questions about her job and how she was doing.we said our good byes, and I spent that evening thinking about her and the things that had brought us to this point in our lives. The next morning I woke up, got myself together and drove over to the house where we used to call home. I thought walking our pets would help me. Well there she was in her car with the dogs. Headed out for coffee. I walked up and said hi and that I was going to take the dogs for a walk. My plan changed and I said I'll go with you for coffee. She agreed and in a flash she broke down. I comforted her and we had our coffee. She dropped a bomb on me with the news that she quit her job. Now I am feeling that need to go back and take care of things financially until she gets back in her feet. She never asked this from me and she isn't in no way trying to rely on me. In the conversations we had it came out how f'd up she is in the head. Confused with so many thoughs. I gave her a number of a therapist and I Hope she will make that call. Do I keep moving forward or get back in and help her then I'm back out and have to go through all the pain again because I know she isn't in love with me?

You are the only one that can judge that for yourself
If its sane or healthy to re engage with her.

My Marriage was over there was no point ever getting
Back together, we might be civil years from now. HUGS

That's a tough choice. I would really think it out before you make a solid answer. Also figure out what your trying to accomplish. Best of luck and hope all goes well!

Yeah, that's a tough call. I'm in the same boat with you. She had the affair and I am out of the house. I did say that I would support her financially and help her with the upkeep and maintenance on the house and Lawn and stuff and support our kids. I suggested that not her. And I also promised her that I would do that. I love her and I love our kids and I would love nothing more than to reconcile and rebuild. However, she's not there. The affair ended almost a year ago and she still doesn't know what she wants. But for some reason, I'm still hanging on. She says that she loves me and I definitely love her and am in love with her, but she is not in love with me. My situation is just a little different though, my wife is a therapist and refuses to go to therapy. She doesn't want to work on things right now. And things sure as hell aren't getting any better. I just realized after saying that out loud, that I must look like a fool. So I guess I really can't give you any advice but maybe you can take solace in the fact that you're not alone in this indecision. So I guess, lean on me and I will lean on you and hopefully we can get through this to the other side. Whatever Lies over there...
For now, only worry about today because that is all were given. Hopefully we can learn from our past and there's nothing we can do about our future but try to prepare for it. I am 52 years old and the thought of being alone and or starting over is not a very pleasant one. Oh, the fear of the great unknown is always so debilitating.
