I thought i was okay with my ex boyfriend still being in a relationship but i am not. It has almost been a year since I last saw him so times have been rough. I texted him and asked him if he was still in a relationship and he said yes and at frist i was fine but now three days later it really bothers me. I have somr things i regret not doing and I hate i will never get a chance to do them with him. I think I have to much free time on my hands and that does not help matters.

Interesting - but pretty much what you are saying you are not over him - well, for some it might take more than a year. Since he's in a relationship - I would say it's very important that you try your best to stop dwelling on this - too much free time can for sure be an issue - but you may also want to try counseling - sorting out what changes you can make to help you move in a different direction - to help you heal and let go. Is not crazy that you still feel hurt - but is definitely good if you can find a new routine that helps you get over the situation.

Thank you. I have already been to a therapist back when it first happend. I still have lingering feelings so it is hard. My routine is different in some ways though.

Honestley I think by texting him by asking him if hes still is in a relationship to only hearing he is .....is only hurting u !!! u should reallty try NO contact it really helps u move past him and get on with youre life as hard as it may seem it truely works (((hugs)))

I had been doing good with no contact but I slipped. I wanted to see how he was and then I decided to ask about the relationship. Stupid I know. No contact does make me feel a lot happier. I need to get back to that.

No contact until you are healed and totally over him..and that will mean that at that point you won't care what he's doing..so texting will seem so unnecessary. If it's past a year and you are still thinking and longing to have a chance to do things over then you are stuck wondering about the what-ifs. That's a hard way to think because two people do a dance all their own ..an emotional dance of who the two are at that particular time ..if you could have done things differently..you would have..and if he could have..he would have. You both didn't and it ended for a reason. He found someone and that should be the impetus for you to try to make peace with the fact that it ended and it's probably for the best. Go find your passions and try new things to shake up the energy.
I will never want to know if my ex is in a relationship..I don't know why people look to find these things out..it hurts! Peace to you.
