They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. I saw where you posted you had a need for constant attention and if you weren't getting 100% of someone's attention you feel they hate you and this was causing problems in your relationship.
With it being over, it's now time to get into therapy and work this out. It will continue on with other relationships and sink them. But you can get help and get past this clingy and controlling behavior.
Dr. Phil in a video stated that after a relationship, it is a good time to do an autopsy all by yourself of the relationship and be totally honest with yourself about your responsibility in it (for instance the need for constant attention and anything else or that you saw red flags and ignored them, etc.). He said if you learn a lesson from the autopsy, then you have gotten tuition. Many hugs.
Unless they deal with their issues, they'll continue to treat other people like that in their lives. It may not be everyone, they may just have a pattern of picking out one person at a time to target or mistreat.....but it will be someone.
