-HUGS-
I can't imagine what it is to know your husband is having a baby with someone else. At the same time it is possible to save your marriage if you both want to. Everything is possible, now I know that for sure. He is choosing to stay with you and not to have a new family with the other woman. Things will never be the same but things can be better and you would not know it if you don't try it.
Don't make decisions thinking of your son, do it for you. Love can do wonders and being in love gets transformed many times during a marriage.
I am not saying it will be easy, it will be long, my problems started almost 4 months ago and only now I started to sleep 4 hours straight without waking up in the middle of the night with this horrible panic attacks and images of him and the other woman.
Therapy has helped and has been the only way we have been able to communicate without killing each other, without blaming each other. We found JFCS and they accommodated us according to insurance and income. Insurance usually covers this kind of therapy under mental health and in a lot of states it is mandated to be covered.
Not having the support of your family is horrible and I hear you too in there, I'm here for you, anytime you want.
Don't say "why me" say "what for" this change of words has helped me a lot and I have found that even in the worst time of my life there is purpose.
I do need to put myself first and will work on that. I'll try not to have a pitty party with the "why me" and just focus on myself. I will look into counseling first though. I can't move to the next step until I take care of myself first.
I will check to see if my insurance covers mental health. This would help tremendously.
I send hugs and love to everyone:)
You said.."I wish I did bot marry him". What your life would be then if you did not. Do you think the other man were surely not capable of cheating?
His affair was a test for your relationships, a horrible lesson to be learnt for both.
Be happy that he did not leave you for other woman. Many men do leave their wives.
Buy concentrating on what he had done, you might wasting your chances to make your marriage stronger again.
He is just a man. Men mess up and make mistakes. If you want to get better, just try to be merciful to him and to you.
If it helps you feel any better, Karma has come back to me with a vengence! She has EVERY RIGHT TO!
The father of my child was working with a group of Masons, and when they found out that he had got me pregnant, they came after my ass like the wrath of GOD! They had every right too. I was wrong.
Commiting adultry is a sin, just like murder, white collar crime, fornication, suicide, drunk driving, rape, abuse or neglect, incest, stealing.
I have been poisoned, homeless with my kids, threatened with my kids with me, I have had my food spit in from the food bank, I have drank water that tastes like blood, I have had my bed shake on a daily, I have come up to my locked car and had my air condition come on full blast, or the night light on in broad daylight on my car, and I have not left these things on in the car. I have had people come to my bedroom window and knock on it 11:45pm, at night. I don't want you to feel sorry for me. I just want you to know that what goes around comes around.
The child is now 18, about to graduate. I don't want for her to see her father because he needs to commit to the family he caused pain to first and foremost. He needs to forget about his past mistakes and move on with his wife and children.
Me and my daughter are saved by the blood of the Lamb. I believe that I have been forgiven of my sins and have been given a second chance through Christ who strengthens me. If its ok, Staystrong207, I would like to become your friend and help you through these hard times. If you don't, I understand. Time heals all wounds, and you need your space.
May God Bless you and keep you.
I am not in an exactly similar situation, but I feel the same as you about needing to let go, but still loving him. It has made therapy with local therapists difficult, and that is why I have turned to talkspace. I am in no way affiliated with them, but I heard about them from a podcast series I listen to weekly about relationships. Anyway - I just wanted to throw this out there as I was reading your post and all the other comments. It is a cheaper alternative that does exists, and is convenient as well for your schedule.
It would be very beneficial to speak with someone who has the tools and resources to help you navigate how you are feeling. I understand wanting revenge, but we all know that is wrong. You are definitely not in a healthy relationship. Would your husband be willing to partake in therapy with you to work on your relationship, if that is indeed what you both want? How will you ensure he will have no involvement with the other woman after the baby is born? What are the terms? The custody agreements?
You are within your rights to divorce in the rights of the state and GOD. You are not alone in how you feel, and you are entitled to those feelings.
