Hello, first time here. I am shutting down right now and need to vent. My STBX and I are separated and are going through a divorce. STBX has been really difficult and unreasonable, so I hired an attorney to reduce stress during the process. I like my attorney is proactive and agressive in a good way, but I started feeling I am intimidated by her, which reminds me of my STBXs negative behavior and treatment of me. My stress level got higher, I cried, am now shutting down, not productive and awake in the middle of the night. I couldn't respond to my attorney's emails last night though I wanted to respond to them. I'm lost...and scared...
she had my back all the way thru the divorce and
even afterward.
They are still lawyers and we are coming From
an emotional place they aren't. Its all Business
and its about the financial breakdown between
parties and if there are children involved it takes
more steps.
I got what i should have in my decree and i was
fair and not Vindictive. I gave him time to get his
Own financials In order. Your lawyer is there to
look out for you financially and legally.
My ex Wanted to do it ourselves and he would be
fair. I Did not trust him, i said forget it, very glad i did
not fall for that. He Fought me all the way thru it and
he had His own lawyer too which i had high hopes
Would keep him in line.
