Secondly, you absolutely should get into counseling. I did and it helped me SO much! I went to Psychology Today's website. They have a registry of therapists. All you have to do is put in your zip code and you can read the profiles of therapists in your area. Their profiles will tell you all about them and give their fees, insurance info, areas of expertise, etc. Many even have photos. I found two I especially liked and called both. I immediately clicked with one when she called back and I've been with her ever since. She has made an enormous difference in my life.
It's at times like this when we have to look within and do the work.
There have been times I've been tempted to check out his FB page, but stop and have a talk with myself about why I'm going to put myself through that. Is it going to help my self esteem? No. Does it keep me from looking at myself? Probably. Etc.
It's just self a buse, and thankfully I no longer care what's going on in his life.
This stage passes. It's all about what's healthy for myself now, which is how it should be.
