Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
Again, based solely on what you've said here, I think you're doing the right thing by keeping things business like and only engaging w/her when it has to do with the kids. I hope you will consider seeking therapy for yourself to help you work thru your feelings and concerns. A good therapist can also help you work w/the kids, as they are affected more than we realize by separation/divorce.
I'm sorry to say that you can only do so much and it doesn't really sound like she wants to mend the marriage. As long as she won't get help for herself, things will probably not get better. So please take care of yourself. Your kids need you and you need to be there for them.
If you haven't already, get an attorney to insure you have at least equal custody. If it were me, I'd document everything. I'd save all the emails and texts & keep a journal of every interaction w/her. You may need this at some point.
Take good care of you.
