That is unacceptable. If it makes you uncomfortable he should respect that. If it's a friend he should be able to talk in front of you. I know people who do call people love or baby all the time, even strangers. But out of respect of your feelings he should respond appropriately and make you feel comfortable with the situation. You come first. Have you tried a mediator of sorts?

If it were me, I would do an extensive study of his "culture". Then dissect it into socially execeptable behavior and behavior that would cause public humiliation. Once you have information and cross references to make a clear decision, you'll be ready.

This way your giving him the benefit of the doubt.

If the information found doesn't corroborate his story you will need to decide from there how to take action.

I understand what you're going through as I am going through something similar. I do not have proof that my wife has spent time with another guy, but all signs lead to it. Like Rozeechild said, if it is a friend then there should be no problem speaking in front of you or even with you about it. Everyone has insecurities, I feel it is the responsibility of your spouse to help you cope or eliminate those with being understanding... not secretive.

I hope that you both can get this worked out. I would suggest counseling sooner rather than later as it could be the difference to getting through it.

I tried a mediator however he is paranoid and thinks everyone is out to get him what kind of bs is that
