i thought maybe a support group can help me focus on the bright side or finding similar cases can guide me to stop thinking about bad things

Bravo for fighting the good fight to make the best life possible for your precious children! Take heart for good things will come and take time to recognize what a great job you are doing.

Support is important and you will find it here. Are you involved in any church groups? You may feel you are now experienced with this divorce thing, but I found DivorceCare a tremendous resource for me. It is so great to vent to those experiencing similar challenges and trauma. Also, at least in my case, providing support to others is at least as therapeutic as receiving it. Chin up! You've got this!

Manaf, welcome to daily strength. Do you have primary custody of your children? Going solo can be mentally and physically exhausting. There are lots of people around here with similar issues. Can you tell us more about yourself?

I completely understand I'm taking care of my 2 kids and my husband just left and started a new life and doesn't even see our children. I am bitter at how he has moved on and doesn't care. I want to find someone it is hard.

I’m in the middle of a divorce right now and it is so hard. I feel like I will be alone forever but it’s the price I am willing to pay for the safety and happiness of my kids. Hang in there! This is a great place to vent and get support.

Manaf, thankful to have people like you in the world and know that your children will benefit greatly from you being there and walking with them through life. For those of us who have lost our spouses and have children, that is a blessing to know that even as we go through difficult times of loneliness and hardship, our children are seeing a parent figure who loves and cares for them. And know that "children model what they see" and you are giving them a vision of what a loving parent should be about.
