Can anyone tell me how to find out if the IRS is after my stbx? He hasnt paid taxes in years, and I know they will be looking for him, but I want to know more:)

whoops-talk to your attorney about this. You are also responsible-but may be able to file "innocent spouse" to protect yourself. I was offered this several years back, but we were married, and it would have made no sense unless I divorced him then.

Do you think that this will be a Big tax problem, or a Normal tax problem? (Big-50-100k+)

I agree with Tami. You dont want to contact them. If they are after him and you are still married, i dont know if they can come after you. contact attorney first.

This is for his business...not personal. I am not conected to the business. Does that count?

Don't be too surprised if they are not after him. They are pretty busy and it seems random. You can't really find out.

My understanding is they cannot attach your property unless you co-own it. Then they can. There is a box to request innocent spouse protection on the 1040. There is also a form to report fraud if you are worried you will be implicated. If they attach his business, this would affect support, obviously, as I believe they come first. I am not an expert, this is just what I think I have learned.
