I have been in a down mood lately, and feeling stuck. My and my stbx have very limited contact. Only for the kids. I saw him at soccer game Thursday night, and he proceded to tell me since it was going to be cold this weekend, he was going to go hunting, and took a 4 day weekend. I didn't really care, told him have a good time. Then I found out that my ex actually got on a plane the next day and flew to New York to visit his "friend". Although I know it's over, I felt a kick to the stomach. Why lie? I did'nt ask him what his plans are, so why lie???? SO of course I spent the weekend in tears. My daughter asked when he was coming back from New York, and I said I think he is hunting. I felt so bad that she knnows what a liar he is, because she adores him, and does not understand. So I said maby he is hunting in New York, and left it at that. I know I should not care what he is doing, but what I don't understand is what did I ever do so bad to deserve the blatent lying to my face for no reason. We have been seperated so long, I never question what he does. It's obvious he has no respect for me. Thank you for letting me vent.....
I saw my ex last week by chance. I went to out to lunch after a funeral and he was at the same restaurant with his daughters. I went right up to their table and hugged him, nothing could of stopped me! I made it a quick one and then focused on his girls. As I went to my table I made eye contact with my ex (dang, it was good to see him, sigh) and I said I had been meaning to contact him to see how he was doing (his mom died several weeks ago) He said..............HE'D call me.........I was so happy. When he left the restaurant we again made eye contact and he said again, he'd call me, I said you promise? He said yes. He didn't, he hasn't and ya, I fell for it. I'm so mad at myself for believing he would.
Please don't lie to us..........................
