When I first got out on the river it was blowing pretty good. There are a few of the videos where I am really moving and you can see how hard the wind did blow. At one point my boat was going like my head was on fire and my ass was a catchin'!

Wish I had an escape like that! You are blessed! Glad you found love again! Until I saw this I was happy just floating in my pool sipping a cold one and listening to music, not quite the same rush! Enjoy it every chance you get! Oh' and don't answer your phone while you are with "your love" it is rude anyway! LOL

You guys have no idea how hard it is to shoot video on a moving boat. The other part that makes it hard is that the boat was heeling and I noticed that if you see the horizon you can tell that I didn't hold the camera straight up and down....ooooppps. This is the first time that I have tried this.

Did you guys hear how hard the wind was blowing in one of the videos? That was some strong stuff. I was carrying a rolled Jib and a full main and I was slightly overpowered!

You are turning us on with all that sailing talk! I for one will pretend like I know what it all means. LOL I get the main jest, it was windy as hell and you were the man to film it and not tip the boat over, right? Not bad for a blonde, huh? LOL

The boat can't tip over. There is a huge chunk of lead in the keel to counterballance everything. If the boat is overpowered it means that there is too much sail up for the conditions and the boat does a round up. What happens during a round up is that the boat looses steering because it heels enough where the rudder begins to slip through the water. The boat then turns into the wind and flattens out. Finally you get steering back and you are back at it again.

Some boats are very scary when they round up. My boat is very gentile and it has a very kind motion.

Thanks for the leason Heave. I really do enjoy learning new things. Did a lot of boating living in Florida but more offshore fishing and skiing, not sailing. Looks like tons of fun! A lot cheaper with gas prices the way they are too!

Yeah...I had to fill my boat up with diesel this weekend. I haven't bought diesel since June. I put 5 gallons in the tank (I have a 20 gallon tank). I think that I may have used 1 gallon this weekend, two at most. I use more water on the boat than I do fuel!

Once I made it 60 miles in a day and didn't burn any fuel :P
