Second, you really need to get into counseling to deal with your co-dependency. As you said you have only been with this person for three months--you need to understand why you place so much importance on being in a relationship. I say this with love, not to criticize but to show you that you deserve a happy, healthy life where YOU are your best companion.

And when they get a sniff of vulnerabilty, they run at the chance to use that kind hearted person. Taking and draining their good energy. I've been there, and I understand completely. I've been with one of these abusers for over 25 years. He has done a number on me, but I'm getting better.
I agree counseling is a good idea, but I'm not sure about taking medications. Learning why and how you were a target of such a user will be great, to be able to grow stronger and heal from this experience. It's take time, be kind to yourself and try to focus on your healing. Big hugs to you!
