I can't seem to get a grip this morning

I was doing so well. I felt good and was moving in a positive direction. Last night I was fighting off the blues and this morning they're stronger than ever.

You know what this is like? Before I met my husband I was in great shape. I was like a beautiful building in down town Los Angeles with a place among all the other buildings. Then someone came along and started to build me up even higher until I was looking down on all the other buildings and felt almost a part of heaven. Then that same person set a bomb off on the ground floor and the whole thing came crashing to the ground in seconds. Now I'm picking up the pieces one by one and it's taking forever to get to the center to find out what happened.

bombs are not what anyone needs. You building is still standing tall, you just cant see that because your inside looking for that one who makes you feel complete. Sometimes its the ones we love that tear us down the most. But everyday is a new day, the sun refuses to stop shining even when we dont feel like it. Your life continues and the building remains. its up to you to see you for being you.

Don't waste any more time picking up pieces to find out what happened...pick up what you need to build a brand new building as tall as you want in the middle of any city that you want...Leave everything else behind!
I am sorry you are having a bad morning....They seem worse after you've had a good day or a few good days??? just remember that you have had some ok days...then one day they will be good...and then the bad ones will be fewer and farther apart.

You're right! I need to build a new building and leave this pile behind me. I think I will build one in a better neighborhood this time. And the next time a construction worker comes along I'll make sure he knows to leave my foundation and structure alone. He can add a few support beams or some fresh paint from time to time. Maybe he could build his own building next to mine instead of messing with mine. One that compliments mine. Something a bit more realistic and not quite so tall.

I can see him happily walking away with his tool belt swinging around. I think one of these pieces of rubble would look good hurling through the air towards his head :)

I have said my life felt like a puzzle. I knew where the pieces went. Separation and divorce felt like someone tore that puzzle apart and turned all the pieces upside down, and said "Put it back together", but i couldn't see the picture! It's been hard to figure out where those same pieces go now. And one of them is missing. But hey, I can always draw a new picture on the brown, cardboard side.....maybe a more beautiful picture than the first puzzle. :)

There ya go. Start a new puzzle. I've always thought that if you come out of a relationship knowing more than when you went in, it wasn't a waste of time. I got to thinking about my building when I realized I was trying to get back the person I was when I met my stbx. I was happy and loving life, but it could have been better. This time I'll work on the parts that needed to be better.
