I am in your shoes. I'm not sure how or why this is easy for them. However after almost six weeks of seperation with a completely aloof spouse, I know this must be part of a divine plan. I never thought I'd say this but we have to trust the process. Holding on with both hands will almost kill you. Hang in there. If you ever need to talk I'm here.

Why'd she flip out? Did she give any explanation? Decided she was too young and hot to be a wifey?

My wife left me as well. I have no agreement with this situation. I don't support for one second that this is what is best. We also have two children, 8 and 10. They stay with me most of the time, not at the wife's rental apartment. She doesn't mind as she also gets to be free from her mother duties. I miss my kids even when I am with them, so at least my heart stays warm with their love. I think most people on this site are ones who are devestated from a separation or divorce. The spouses with hate in their hearts are quite content with the destruction of their family. I find strength in God. I pray that He would reprogram my wife's brain, but so far, no luck. The target and goal is Heaven. Until then, the suffering continues.

In the same exact boat, except we are still under one roof and constantly at each other's throats. My wife wants to remain friends. Friends? Not going to happen. I almost feel as if I would have been better off if she just took off, but I can see how much pain that puts you in, and wouldn't wish that on anyone. I agree with the person who talked about a therapist. I am currently going to one, and from the first session, where I think I literally cried the entire session, to the latest one last Monday, I feel like I am much better about keeping my emotions in check. It will be a long time before I can fully come to grips with this, but that's normal. Please make sure you take care of yourself first and foremost. Without that, you will never be able to move on.

I’m so sorry to hear that. This is a hard thing to go through. I just said a prayer for you and your wife, asking God to bring healing and hope to your marriage. Have you tried talking with a counselor? A good counselor might be able to give you some solid guidance. It might be worth trying. Sending prayers your way!

I am there with you too. I am also still under the same roof with my husband who wants to separate and don't understand why I am hurting. It is sad to see 10 years of marriage meant nothing to this person.
