Meth is a really fucked up drug. I used to do it. It is awful. Pot I smoke on the regular and never have any ill effects, they are definitely very different. Son't beat yourself up for smoking a little weed, that shit is harmless, especially compared to meth which is srsly the devil.
I understand you are fearful of leaving your husband and life after divorce. But if your husband is a meth addict you may be better off without him. The kids will be safer too. You always hear this horrible meth child abuse stories, it's not healthy for kids to be around that.
Life after divorce will be different, but think hopefully, it might be better for you. At least you will be free from this guy who is sucking you dry and threatening you. What a jerk.
My aunt went through a very difficult divorce and now lives in a small house instead of the big house they used to have, but she is happier now. I know the people on this board who have been through divorces can give you advice about that. Your life will change, but it will probably be better.
I agree with Andrea about your hubs, too...what a complete ass to threaten you with taking custody of the kids!
I am five months into my divorce process and I am beginning to see that it won't be the end of my world. You will get to that place, too.
The main thing is getting you and your kids away from your husband.
I fell into a trap yesterday- his mother came to me, saying she knew how hard things had been and wanted to talk to me- that she knew how "exasperating" her son was, and wanted to be of help.
I told her about the test, and she immediately denied any possibility. The conversation shifted immediately to everything I've done wrong- that he feels like I "don't like him", and that she feels that I don't like her. I told her I didn't see how that would affect the test.
Should have seen that one coming. I tested myself and the pot's still in my system. I''ve always seemed to take a long time to flush it out. I remember in HS it took me over a month and I was not a regular user. Just one of the lucky ones, I guess.
Anyway, thanks again.
