I've never been more unhappy or hurt in my entire life as I am now. Don't know what brought this on, but I've been crying all day. It's killing me.

I'm sorry you're having a rough day. Unfortunately it's just part of the grief process. Some days are better than others and eventually you get to where you have more good days than bad. That takes time. Let yourself cry and grieve. It's necessary to move on.

The pain subsides over time and the crying fades away. At one time I think my tears could have filled two Olympic swimming pools. I sit here today, good ole 9/11, my anniversary, (or was), would have been 38 years of marriage today. I'm past the crying and the hurt can still take various forms now and then, but today, just feel blah, almost melancholy.

The stages of grief suck. How come tear ducts don't get tired from overuse and just quit for a while? I can recall wondering how they can produce that many tears in a given time. Many of us have been there and I'm sorry you're there now but just go with it, get it out. There will likely be more tomorrow so keep the Kleenex close. It's hard, and yes it feels like it's killing you but I'm still here, and men don't cry, but I survived, you will too.
