for about 5 seconds when people I know found out and suggested it. But that fizzled fast as just "getting with someone" never really interested me in general.

At times I just wanted him to see that I am a lovable person, that what he said and continues saying about me is not true. But I do realize I rather be alone , finding myself for now.

If he is running around trashing you, remember that most of the recipients of his vitriol are probably nodding to his face and rolling their eyes behind the scenes. His actions/words reflect on him NOT you. Most people know this or don't care. Some like the gossip. Your true friends, like cream, will rise to the top.

hius best friend and I stayed friends......it puts him through the roof....STILL....if we ever meet for happy hour and he hears about it......I love it...

Don't stoop to his level, it may temporarily make you feel better but in the long run it's only hurting you.

There's something I've heard here a number of times that I think rings true. The best revenge is living your life well and being happy without him.

I'll admit I've been terribly lonely, but it has nothing at all to do with getting even, and even in that, I really have no interest in sex or a relationship with someone else.... just someone to share time with.

I have try to stay away from him, still I have to talk to him at times because we had a daughter involved. When we do talk he mentions he left me because I broke him...I broke him....I was the one who lay in a hospital bed because he almost broke my ribs! But he continues to say I broke him!!! It drives me nuts!!! I am trying to keep strong, to not stoop to his level I am so tempted!!

My mom taught me that people who really know me know better and those that don't don't matter. They're going to think what they want anyway. Yes, I told another guy he could dance with me and this time up close as I wouldn't push him away. I'm SOOO glad he didn't take me up on it. It backfired on me. It was because I ASSUMED my guy was flirting by the way he turned around and wiggled his hips, but he was at least two feet away from the person he was dancing with. It was one of those moments when I thought "I'll show YOU not to disrespect ME, so I made a total fool out of myself and will NEVER go that again. Your ex is just messed up anyway. You can't teach someone like him ANYTHING. You have to have someone to work with. That's the way it was with my ex. He was SHOCKED that I would divorce him. He was known as the heartbreaker, but I showed him a major trick...divorce and refused his calls, etc. He FINALLY got it through his head that I TRULY meant it. Don't get on his level. You'll hurt someone else in the long run and he won't learn from it either. He's not worth wasting your time on after the way he repeatedly treated you.

BTW, when I was in high school and I broke up with a guy for flirting or whatever, I'd immediately have another date by the following weekend. I didn't do it to make them jealous, but they sure were. One guy even pretended to "accidentally" spill a milkshake all over a guy after a ballgame. Another guy ran his bike into my new guy's car door and said it was an accident. I think they're jealous by nature, and another thing I learned...my 1st husband wanted me back REALLY bad after he saw me with someone who he THOUGHT I was dating. He asked me then to marry him! I was with a friend and his girlfriend. He STILL comes to the store to see me often and now even his sons call out to me when they see me too. He told me his now fiance doesn't like it. I'm not a threat to her. Life is weird isn't it?
