Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
I would never have become involved with someone right of a long term relationship. They haven't healed and are just looking to fill the void.
It has nothing to do with what you have or don't have.
Starting over isn't a walk in the park for any of us at times, but you need to get your life in order and figure out what your plans priorities are going forward.
TIME...is the best thing to give your kids. An amusement park may sound like a better place to take them..but it's not.
Back at home, art projects, getting homework done, movie night on the floor with blankets piled up.
As for moving on....there's no set time. Divorce laws in most states let you date as soon as the first divorce paperwork is filed before the divorce is even final...but that's usually not the best choice. Many people join clubs, gyms, etc. Work on your own interests and let it go from there.
Dumpy apartment...look for inexpensive artwork (or let your kids help you make some). Sheets, pillows, blankets. A few nice things really can help liven it up.
Hugs, (and enjoy those kids), Patti
the Getting into a new relationship it is
not a good Way to heal. It actually just
prolongs The healing and grieving
process.
I literally tossed and turned for 5 months
After no contact and moving. I was still
Detaching from my ex. Should i bring in
Someone new to replace him. No, bad
Idea on every level. I am still not ready
After 14 months and i do loads of support
Groups and now attend church.
Divorce recovery is a hard brutal road
For many of us. Some dont seem to care
That deeply or were already emotionally
Checked out or were disconnected already.
Divorce care.org is a great group and in
Bigger areas they have it for children too.
I was one of eight children and my father
Stopped seeing us after he remarried. My
Step mother did not like us. HUGS
