Okay...so earlier I got into this mode of thinking that was like, I'm gonna be a paranoid detective. I started dwelling a little and noticed my stomach started to feel that painful feeling again. So I snapped out of it by imagining my life 346 months from now. I'm not even sure of the calculation in years?...just kidding. I just snapped out of it by thinking about where I am going to be in the future, as well as how I'm going to get to the point I imagined.

Good job. The body really is an amazing thing. Mind over matter. You have really impressed me with how you are really trying to control your thoughts and move forward.

Take it one milestone at a time and embrace the good parts during these trying times in your walk through your stages....hell...in 346 months, you might be remarried with 10 children or worse....march march march....giggle...

Thanks Mamalyn, but it's not easy to trick your brain into thinking about something else. What do you get when you drop a piano down a mine shaft? A-flat minor. Get it?...

LOL okay forget what I said about using your brain. Just kidding. Yes I do get it. I have raised a million kids, so I have heard them all. Seriously I think it is very hard to learn to control our thoughts. I actually suck at it most of the time.

The best exercise to control thoughts, is to just recognize when the thoughts are starting to get bad. Then stop them, somehow. Smack yourself in the face, jump up and down, breakdance...control the thoughts...

You don't always have to 'control' the thoughts, though. Sometimes it may be good to just feel them all the way to pain...then you can part with them...
