Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
In order for you to take good care of yourself, it is best to go total No Contact.
If it were me, I would send him an email or a text (keeping a copy) and tell him that I feel used and hurt and that I want no more contact at all with him. I would tell him to stay from me and my kid(s). That way, there will be proof if he tries to reach out to you.
Sporing events usually mean a lot of people will be there and that there will be lots of places to sit/stand. So it shouldn't be all that hard to avoid him there. I would also block him from social media, email, phone, etc.
It will be hard at first, but the longer you stay No Contact, the easier it will be and the more you will see more clearly that you deserve much better.

I just can't get out of my mind that maybe he wants a relationship but just not with me.
The no contact is a very good approach to let go and move on. I am going through the same situation, am taking it day by day. I know it will heal especially when you realized that he is indeed a scumbag.
My ex immediately moved on to another relationship and I had to keep reminding myself that what he was doing was none of my business. If I do see him, I refuse to engage in conversation with him because it hurts too much...even after almost a year and half. It's very hard but to an extent you have to separate yourself from your pain and look at what's good for you in the long run rather than what you want in the moment. Instant gratification is rarely helpful.
I'm truly sorry you're going through this. Hang in there, the pain will get better, it takes time.
