My stbx is doing this with my daughters and they are 17 & 15 and sometimes I don't know anything about them going with him until the very last minute.
I haven't said anything to him, but it does irritate me. A few times I had planned on taking them with me somewhere and they would say.. "Dad is going to pick us up in an hour".. and it just really makes me mad!
i posted this stuff last week from Oprah's web site, but here is part of it: "Act like a parent. You are the adults in this situation. Let your kids know that you and your ex will make the decisions about how much time they spend with each of you. It's not something they need to worry about."
what he is doing causes children to feel guilty because they are being forced into choosing which parent to be around. all the best.
