This is such a healthy move forward, Heavetoo. It is necessary for healing and for self preservation to stop the control they have to keep hurting us, and one way to stop it is to limit contact. It is such a hard thing to do , but has so many rewards as time goes on.. In three months times of no contact or limited contact, our minds clear, we get their voice out of our heads and start thinking of ourselves and what is healthy for us and what we need to get better. This is a very encouraging post and a post of hope for others to just Hold fast and in time this too shall pass.. that is the greatest thing about life is to give it a minute and it will change.. Keep stepping forward. Remember times like these when you hit a rut or a valley so that you can find your way back and keep talking and reaching out which shows strength..
