Not sure if it's really a hobby, but when the weather turns cruddy in the winter I do a little leather work. Self taught and not very fast at all... if i had to do it to make a living I would starve.
Mostly I just make my own holsters and belts, sheaths for hunting knives and stuff like that. I did make one "blingy" belt for my wife. I do all the stitching by hand, which is the most time consuming part... I guess I don't think of the process as so much fun, but seeing the end result is rewarding.

The western style one, that was for my youngest...he's pretty proud of it. Says that some day he will pass it onto his kid... My fingers bled from pulling all those stitches tight, but that little statement right there made it well worth it. Made something similar for all three boys, they get a lot of use out of them and have even started making some of their own stuff... knife pouches and etc. Great bonding time in crappy weather.
