Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
You are between a rock and a hard place.
From only what you post, I would say it would be a very bad thing to stay and work things out if you are angry (which you have a right to be)
all the time. Not good for you, not good for the kids and especially not good for the baby. I think right now you should do what is in the best interest of yourself and your kids, baby included.
You can't predict what others will do and if you explain things to them, even that they will still be grandparents it might not be so bad. I really wouldn't expect this guy to keep away from the ex, cause this has happened before. It is possible he is just giving you the old lip service.
Your kids need to come first.

You moved in together one week ago, and I don't know that with his lying history that he can truly apologize and make changes--lying really cancels out anything he says.
If it were me, he would have to leave and go into extensive therapy to find out why he cannot let the ex go. He may return to her, but at least I wouldn't be living with him.
It also would be time for you to get to family and friends to gather support for you when having the baby.
I agree, his parents doesn't get to make decisions in your life.
Sounds like you can't really trust him. He SAYS he's willing to do anything to work things out with you....but who knows with his track record.
And that's great that you like his parents, but unless they are going to support you and the baby then they don't need to be part of your plans for your future.
Sorry that you are going through this, I can't imagine what pain you must be in. Take care and let us know how it's going.
