Ok, so I've doing pretty good, pushing through everything going on, and keeping my chin up. But, tomorrow is my birthday, it's the first time in 9 years that she wont be there to kiss me, hug me and tell me she loves me on that day. She also always made me a special birthday cake. It's really the first "big day" since the seperation and divorce. I know emotionally, I've moved past everything, but this one's hitting me a little harder. Been on an emotional roller coaster all weekend and not sure how to enjoy tomorrow. At least I will have my boys with me so that will make it better.
Sometimes the build up and the expectations of things can be much worse then the actual event. Life... love... divorce... kids.. work... all of it... can be a roller coaster. There will be good days and bad days.. but TOMORROW my friend is your special day. So think positive! There could be a lot of gifts en route for you this year.. don't close yourself off!!
